Genetic Epidemiology - Courses

The genetic epidemiology program aims to train students to understand, perform, evaluate and converse in the field of genetic epidemiology. This includes study design, statistics, molecular biology and technology. The track requires four terms of the Epidemiology Methods sequence, four terms of biostatistics, and four terms of genetic epidemiology. In addition, molecular biology, programming and statistical computing are required and/or highly suggested. Masters and Doctoral students will take their written comprehensive exams at the end of their first year before they can begin their second year curriculum. Doctoral students are also required to take a four term Doctoral seminar series. Additional information is available in the current academic guide.
